Composing Background or Education: Argyro began to compose at the age of nine and after a successful audition, in the year 2001 she was offered a place to study composition (with professors Alessandro Timossi and Julian Philips) and piano performance (with Peter Bithell) at the renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London where she graduated in 2005.
Along with composition and piano performance she studied orchestration and conducting with Alan Hazeldine, arrangement with Simon Wills and took part in a series of master-classes with the renowned composer and musicologist Alexander Goehr.
