Styles of Music Composed: Film Symphonic Scores, thematic, orchestral. Also world orchestral (tango, latin, byzantine, Bel Canto, Italian, Mediterranean, Eastern). From minimalistic quartet arrangements to whole philharmonic and choir. Virtual mock ups always done before recording.

Composing Background or Education: Studied for many-many years in Greece, U.K., U.S.A. Classically trained – turned into Jazz and back to Music for Films through Orchestra. Trained as an orchestrator and a conductor as well. Also, studied sound engineering.

Musical Equipment and Instruments: Multi instrumentalist. Main ‘instrument’: The Symphony Orchestra!
Loads of virtual sounds from orchestral to abstract instruments in order to create mock ups or final recordings. Some times a combination of some live instruments and the ‘virtual orchestral pallette’ is what does the job best and within the budget.

Philosophy as a Composer: I must feel the director’s vision… I must be his voice… I must be the ‘character’ portayed… I must be the film…
Creating strong thematic music is a must and a need for the soundtracks. Also, knowing when to ‘take the lead’ in a scene and when to ‘hide’ and just underline the emotions of each scene is a must in order to serve the film and not the composer’s ambitions…
I use a very wide pallette of sounds, composing techniques as well as approaches to each film. Ideally, the film music should stand on its own and should be interesting to listen to, even without the image. But, the important thing is to ‘let the film speak to you’ before staring composing… I need to understand the director’s vision as much as possible, and then ‘be the character’, ‘become the film…’ otherwise… it’s meaningless…

Additional Information: All parts of soundtrack production is offered, from initial composition to mock ups creation, orchestraion, music preperation, creating visual tools for the live recording with orchestras (if needed) locked to the picture, to musicians contracting, recordings, mixinh, producing of the soundtracks… We have enough experience to create a super soundtrack almost within any budget…
