Composing Background or Education: Ned has been creating and writing music for the past ten years. His production and expertise ranges across a plethora of music styles. Over the past few years he has honed his musical skills into the focus of film and television. With a self-taught knowledge and skill to play by ear, Ned brings life and and emotion to his compositions. Ned’s past and current work has involved the contract work for a documentary by Jack Pam that was screened on the ABC Artscape show titled Hijacked Photography.

He has also written and recorded the score to an ABC documentary on Mongolia titled Mongolia and composed music for the National Gallery of Victoria. Composing for various short films, animations and websites, Ned is also currently working on a travel book soundtrack to a trip he embarked on with a photographer across South America, collecting native instruments and documenting the trip through images, sounds and words.

Musical Equipment and Instruments: harp, cello, violin, electric and acoustic guitars, organs, indian harmonium, charango, banjo, bass guitar, flutes, computer & software.

Philosophy as a Composer: Compare composing with writing poetry where one strives to say a lot with a few words.
