Composer Job: Educational Mood Music for Children
Name: Roylco Limited
Contact:
Location: Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA
Type of Composer Job: Mood Music for Children
*composer job fulfilled*
Description: Roylco manufacturers art materials for young children, ages three to nine years old. We’re developing a new kit that aims to introduce children to moods and emotions through music and art. The kit will include a CD of short musical snippets, three to five minutes long. Each snippet will have a “mood” theme; happy, sad, angry, surprised, etc. There will be up to 24 snippets covering 8 different moods (moods will be repeated). We’ll give the young students materials they will use to “draw” what they hear on a CD. We would like you to compose original music focusing on the moods and provide it to us in a format that we can burn to CD to include in our kit. I envision 8 snippets of very simple music, for instance, keyboard only; 8 snippets will develop these themes and may include percussion; the last 8 snippets will be slightly more complex. The rhythm of the pieces should reflect the moods, and should range from lento to vivace. We would like to include a list of vocabulary in the kit to describe the music in technical terms. A range of ethnic music would be nice, but not essential.

Hello there. My name is Adam Brown and I am a young, enthusiastic and professional film composer, who has gained several commissions in the past few months for films. I have been working on several scores for independent film companies, as well as moving towards video game scoring as well. I love what I do, and want to grasp as many opportunities as possible. I have a new website which has all of my repertoire online, including a few film score/trailer extracts (www.adambrown.co.nr). I create a unique blend of electronic and orchestral instruments, sometimes mixed with percussion. I take great pride in what I do, and would love the opportunity to work with your company. I have completed an Undergraduate BA HONS Music, Technology and Innovation degree, at De Montfort University, Leicester; as well has studying at the Royal Academy of Music for several years, as well as gaining a scholarship to the Royal College of Music in 2006.
If you have any vacancies or opportunities, I would love to hear; as I am always eager to start new projects, and gain more experience in the industry. Look forward to hearing from you,
Yours sincerely,
Adam Brown, Film composer

Hi Peter, I would like to contribute to your project if you still need composers/submissions. I have previously created original music for corporate videos for TGIFridays and MetLife, and radio commercial jingles that aired in the Providence, RI area. I have been hired to compose all of the music for a new entertainment television magazine that will begin airing throughout New England beginning May 30. I am currently preparing to score a couple independent films and a soap opera that begins production this fall. I would be happy to send you a demo of my previous work. Please advise of a contact email to which I can send it.
Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Bill Davidson

I am extremely interested in being involved in this project if you are still interested in taking submissions. I am a trained composer and arranger living in Brooklyn and working in many different mediums, primarily pop music and theater/film scores. Depending on the style of music you would like to hear, I can send you any number of recorded samples of my work. I would also be willing to write something to send based on your specific directions. I am excited about attempting this project so please contact me if you are still in need of assistance.

Hi Peter, I would like to join in your project. I’m a music composer. Mainly my job field is composing for tvc music and radio jingles. I have a side project, as a composer for visual novel game, it has the same part like short musical snippets (bgm moods: happy, angry, sad, obb, cbb, etc). I have some original music stocks. Contact me for further discussion.
