Music Job: Film score

Location: Los Angeles, CA
Type of Music Job: Short Film Score

Description: I am a graduating student at the LA Film School – in need of an original score for my thesis film, which is in post production now (I will be completed with picture-lock this Tuesday, then must submit the final product on December 3rd, so I don’t have much time, but the film is begging for a quality original score, with an upbeat-comedic tone (maybe with Asian/Native American vibes). The story is about two ninjas on a golf course (outlandish fish out of water comedy), trying to enjoy their day before a secret mission. On the course, however, they encounter some problems, and an American Indian, native to the course – meets with them to resolve the situation. The film is filled with violence and adult swim type humor – but the ending has Woody Guthrie’s “This Land is Your Land” (have the music rights, and it’s appropriate for the themes of racism/sharing land that the film embodies) – I have music over the rest of the rough cut, merely to know where I want music – but I would feel the audio in better hands with a professional – and would appreciate any help I can get (this project means a lot to me, as it’s what people will see when considering whether to hire me, and it will be submitted to dozens of international and prestigious festivals – so although I am making this happen on a tiny budget – I would at least be able to offer a dvd copy, an audience for your music, and a chance to be involved in a very unique and original comedy. Please contact me asap if you are interested at petty6@mac.com Thank you very much, Nathan

I may be able to help. How long is the film and how much of it will have music?

I can compose in pretty much any style and am fast.

Feel free to take a listen to my portfolio and if you think we can work together, email me. I could take a look at your video and make a couple of tracks so you can see if we are on the same wavelength.
