Styles of Music Composed: Mostly electronic from ambient backdrops to hard-edged techno but I occasionally venture into other genres

Composing Background or Education: MikS Music is a musical project of Mikhail (Mik) Seliverstov, a Montreal based composer / songwriter who writes, records and produces his own music with occasional help of guest vocalists and performers.

MikS Music offers a wide range of audio material suitable for Film / TV / Web and Media projects. Most material is also available for royalty free licensing at a very moderate rate or even for free (see below for details). All compositions can be customized to fit the specifications of a particular project. All budgets considered!

Musical Equipment and Instruments: Various DAWs (more often that not Cubase), VSTi’s, hardware synthesizers, effects, acoustic / electric guitars, plus anything that makes interesting sound

Philosophy as a Composer: I strive to create music that supports the visual scene by setting the desired mood and helping to convey the emotion that director would like to evoke form the viewer.

Additional Information: I am always interested in getting involved with evocative and experimental projects even if the budgets are very limited or none. Independent / student filmmakers are always welcomed!

Furthermore, I am very open to licensing my work for free for the good cause (charity projects, disaster relieve, going green, anti drug / smoking campaigns, and so on).
