Styles of Music Composed: Electronic, New Age, Techno/Trance, Orchestral, Themes, Soundtrack, Incidental Background Music
Composing Background or Education: I compose a wide variety of musical styles, depending on the desired style for the project. Ranging from sweeping new age soundscapes to pulse-pounding techno and trance anthems to epic orchestral odysseys, my primary focus is soundtrack work of all different types. Whether your project requires a full score, a catchy theme song, or just a single piece to serve as background music, I am able to provide a variety of options and will work with you to find the best style of music suited to your project.
Self-taught keyboard beginning in 1988. Integrated computers into the composition process in 1992. Created the name “Zaranyzerak” for my music projects in 1994. Switched to fully digital recording/mixing environment in 1999. Began producing and hosting “The Multimedia Chronicles” review series in 2008, creating an original theme song and original incidental music for selected episodes. Released first self-published album, “MODULIZED,” in 1999, re-released as “Re-MODULIZED” with additional tracks in 2010. Released second self-published album, “Empire Building,” in 2009. For examples of my styles, I have numerous free mp3 samples and full songs available for download from my website.
Musical Equipment and Instruments: Electronic musician, composing primarily with keyboards and a variety of tracker/sequencing software controlled by the keyboards.
Philosophy as a Composer: I feel it is important to work closely with and establish a solid rapport with the director of a project, to find the ideal style of music suited to it. I try to find the “feel” of a project and develop music that accentuates and adds to that feel.
Additional Information: While listed primarily in the Video Game Composer category, I am open to any and all types of soundtrack projects such as film, television, corporate promo videos, or independent film projects.
